Steve Green

Steve Green is the President of Hobby Lobby and also serves as chairman of the board of Museum of the Bible and is the visionary leader in establishing one of the world's largest private collections of rare biblical artifacts, known as the Green Collection.

Hobby Lobby is the world’s largest privately owned arts and crafts retailer. Founded in 1972 by David Green, Steve’s father, the chain has grown to more than 750 stores in 47 states. Hobby Lobby and affiliate stores Mardel and Hemisphere have combined annual sales of over $4.4 billion and employ 32,000 people. Steve Green began working full time with Hobby Lobby following high school and was promoted to Executive VP in 2000 and named President of Hobby Lobby in 2004.

In his role as Chairman of the Board of the Museum of the Bible, Mr. Green has assembled a team of academics, designers, technology professionals and other experts to create the 430,000 SF Museum, dedicated to a scholarly and engaging presentation of the Bible’s impact, history and narrative. The Museum opened in November 2017 and is located just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol.

Steve and his wife Jackie have been married for over 30 years and reside in Oklahoma City, where Hobby Lobby is headquartered. They have 6 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
