Keynote Speaker- 2026
Steve Skipper, the first African-American artist to be sanctioned by The University of Alabama, NASCAR, the Professional Golfer’s Association, and the Professional Bull Riders, is one of the nation’s finest artists. Among sports figures commissioning Steve include former Alabama head football coach Nick Saban, as well as legendary Crimson Tide players Bart Starr, Ozzie Newsome, Kenny Stabler, Sylvester Croom, Najee Harris, Glen Coffee, Blake Sims, Trent Richardson, Tua Tagovailoa, DeVonta Smith, A.J. McCarron, Andre Smith, Mark Ingram, and Kerry Goode.
Steve’s magnificent work includes portraits of Coach Bobby Bowden, Ambassador Andrew J. Young, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (with her prize-winning horse Estimate).
Specializing in oils, pastels, acrylic, and pencil, the diversity of Steve’s mediums has earned him praise throughout the art world. His decision to avoid digital forms of art makes way for his “old school” mindset, which requires much care, time, and work. Hours upon hours are spent in reaching and complementing the style of Super Realism that demands as close to a photographic look without losing the touch of the fine artist.
Steve’s company, Anointed Homes Art, is committed to producing fine art prints at the highest level. From the company website, Steve writes:
“We have matched our faith with our works to bring our collectors a product that is indeed second to none. Our motivation is the high calling and gifting of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our drive and determination to never be disobedient to His heavenly vision.”
With no formal training in art, Steve gives all glory to God for his craft. An ex-gang member and drug addict transformed by Jesus Christ into one of the country’s premiere artists, Steve now uses his incredible talents to glorify the Lord.
